The coolest hotel I've ever seen

Nashville is a fantastic city. Even if you don't like country music, its impossible to not enjoy the live music in every bar and the bright lights of Broadway. I traveled to Nashville for a convention, and was thrilled to discover that the convention center was within walking distance to the main entertainment street in the city, and right next to the Country Music Hall of Fame. Best of all on that trip, I got to stay in the best hotel.

The Gaylord Opryland Resort is located outside of the main downtown area, but next to the Grand Ole Opry. For my stay we decided to commute into the city, but it would be the perfect place to stay when attending a concert next door. Why should you stay there, specifically?

The hotel has enormous atriums with amazing plants and water features. There are full-size palm trees inside the hotel! You can walk out of your room to grab dinner and its like you're in a garden paradise. Don't feel like walking the long distance? There is an indoor river complete with a boat ride to help you see more of the view.

I loved starting my day with a walk around the gardens, sipping my coffee. The fully indoor space is climate controlled and bug-free and it was a constantly pleasant experience. I love novelty accommodations, and this definitely scratched my itch! Why stay somewhere basic, when you can instead stay at a destination itself?

Can't you picture yourself strolling around this amazing place before a concert in an iconic venue?

The Gaylord Opryland Hotel is a Marriott property and has on-site dining and convention center. Its a great spot to host a meeting, and suitable for if you want a quiet hotel away from the hustle and bustle of downtown.
